The JP274 is a high-performing fully compensating Bb euphonium suitable for serious students and musical professionals alike. Andy Woods, session player with the BBC Big Band was so impressed with the JP274 that he selected it to feature in a wide range of TV and film recordings including Wallace and Grommit, Benidorm and many others. The JP274 features a fully compensating system enabling players to more accurately tune their playing. The instrument also includes a rose brass leadpipe and an 11" bell for greater projection and a full, dark sound.
The JP274 is constructed from yellow brass throughout with the inclusion of a rose brass leadpipe. Bottom sprung valves ensure a smooth and free action whereas the 11" bell and .661" bore enable players to achieve a warm and rounded sound.
The JP274 is supplied with a JP mouthpiece and a high quality lightweight case featuring wheels, YKK zips throughout and useful side storage pocket. The case is well built and sturdy ensuring maximum protection for the instrument in all settings, whether in a school storage cupboard or being transported to and from lessons. Popular with schools and music services, JP Musical Instruments understands the importance of a high quality case no matter whether the instrument within is of a student or professional level.
