After a decade and more of the Essential Dyke series, Black Dyke Band strikes musical Gold with the first in a new series of recordings showcasing its concert repertoire, its unique sound and its great soloists.
With the passing of Dr Roy Newsome on 10th October 2011, the brass band movement lost one of its greatest servants and ambassadors. Over the years, Roy conducted many memorable performances of Resurgam and its inclusion on this album is dedicated to his memory.
